It identifies itself as WhatsTheMerch/1.0 (+https://whatsthemerch.com/bot).

It reads public product feeds and public pages so fans can be told when a band puts something new on the table, and it links buyers straight to the store at full margin. It makes one request at a time per host, backs off for a day on a 429 or 403, honours a robots.txt that disallows the feed path, and reads Bandcamp pages at most twice a day. It never spoofs a browser to get past a block.

If you run a store and want it read less, more, or not at all, write to hello@whatsthemerch.com or use the claim page for your band. Removal takes effect within a day.
